The Friends

Charity No. 900182

We have an active committee dedicated to raising funds for our school.

We welcome any parents wishing to get involved. There is no pressure to attend every meeting
or to take on lots of additional work. You can do as little or as much as you like. We are grateful for

We try to meet most months. Meeting dates are posted on the notice board and a text is sent out
to all parents plus we spread the word amongst parents nearer the time. The meetings are normally held straight after school, at the school.

Our Activities

We normally have two a year for the children. Valentines and Halloween. They are held in the
local village hall with hot food plus drinks available. They prove very popular and a good fundraiser.

Easter Bingo.

Held at the school with Easter Eggs as prizes. Hot food and refreshments are available. A very enjoyable
evening raising over £300 last time.

Sports Day and Fete.

Held at the school. The children compete in all their activities and running with medals to all the
winners. There is also a bouncy castle, BBQ, lucky dip, raffle, face painting plus lots more. Another extremely good fundraiser raising just under £900 last time.

Christmas Bazaar.

Held at the school. Lots of stalls, Refreshments available, raffle, Santa’s grotto. This raised just under £1000 last time.

Have a look at the slideshow of the Christmas Bazaar at the top of the page!

What the money is spent on.

We fund many of the trips that the children go on plus equipment for the school. We pay for the children to have a Christmas treat each year plus lots, lots more. We have now raised sufficient
funds to build a new storage shed which will provide much needed storage space for the school.

Going forward.

We are always looking for new fundraising ideas and new parents to keep a strong team going

Thank You.

We are very proud of our fundraising achievements and rely on the continued support of our
committee, parents, carers, school staff and members of the local community who give their time and support so generously. We couldn’t do what we do without you all. Thank you very much.
