New Parents' Information 

School Times

Monday to Friday 8.45am – 3.15pm (children can be dropped off from 8.35am.)

Early Risers Club runs from 7.45am – 8.35am every day (£3 per session – drop in).

After School Clubs run until 4.30pm Monday to Thursday. Children need to be signed up at the beginning of every term, £2 charge per session, total amount to be paid in advance via ParentPay.

School Lunch

Children have a choice of cooked meals or packed lunches; the nutritious cooked meals are supplied by Caterlink. (Please note that all May Hill Class children receive a free school lunch). All lunches (and school trips/activities) are paid for via ParentPay, and you will receive the information to enable you to set up a ParentPay account in September. We operate a ‘healthy eating policy’ and if your child has a packed lunch we would be grateful if you could provide something healthy and nourishing which does not include fizzy drinks, sweets and chocolates. We appreciate your co-operation in this matter.

All May Hill Class children are provided with a free piece of fruit at afternoon break. For morning break, please send in healthy option (raisins, preferred fruit or vegetables, etc). Please don’t put fruit in reading folders as books can be damaged. Should you wish your child to take advantage of the free milk scheme for under-fives, or to order milk for over five, please register with Cool Milk (www.coolmilk.com)

Illness

If your child is unable to attend school due to illness, please inform the school office by phone on the first morning of absence and on any subsequent days.

While we would actively discourage frequent absences from class, please ensure (for the general health of the class) that your child is not sent to school when they are ill.

We ask you to wait at least 48 hours after the last bout of vomiting or diarrhoea before allowing your child to return.

Worship

Parents are very welcome to join our Friday afternoon assemblies (2:45pm); this is when we celebrate good work, birthdays, special achievements etc.
