Parents/Carers

Parents and carers play an important role at Pauntley. We work closely together to ensure that the children's time at school is safe, enjoyable and successful. We warmly welcome parents to come in to listen to the children read, help with trips or special activities, or simply to help set up and clear away after arts and craft afternoons.

Friends of Pauntley CE Primary School

The Friends organise lots of fundraising events throughout the year to pay for additional learning experiences. This has included going to the pantomime, trips, parties, sports equipment and hiring specialists to lead workshops. We are very proud of The Friends who raise many hundreds of pounds each year by holding fayres, discos, bingo and other events for both adults and children to enjoy. All parents and carers are welcome to join.

Governors

We have a Governing Body of volunteers who run and manage the school. They meet regularly to discuss the finances, maintenance of the school, wellbeing of staff and pupils, the achievement and standards of the children and to ensure that the school continues to grow. There are different types of governors, including Parent Governors who represent parents of the children in the school. If you would like to know more about the Governing Body, please contact the school.

Keeping in touch

It is vital that we keep in touch with each other. We feel the best way is to chat with you regularly. Teachers are always around before and after school if you need to pop in.

We also send out regular newsletter, emails and text reminders so that you are always up to date with what’s going on. Our website has additional support including links to other sites, copies of current letters and more information about the school.

Parent’s Consultation Evenings and Open Evenings

Twice a year, we have consultation evenings for parents so that we can talk together about the progress and attainment your child is making in class.

Feedback to parents

Twice a year, the class teachers write a formal report on your child's progress in all areas of the curriculum. They also give your child personal targets so that adults can support them.
