The Curriculum at Pauntley
Teaching
Pauntley Primary School consists of two multi-age classes. Children work and play with friends of different ages providing a family atmosphere. They stay with their teacher for three or four years, building and developing a relationship which allows each child to flourish as an individual. This time enables staff to know the children extremley well and focus on unique qualities, strengths and areas for development. The aim is to develop the whole child academically. socially. emotionally and fully prepared for their future.
The older children are expected to be role models for others and take on many responsibilites including leading groups, pastoral care and having a voice in decision making. From Reception, children are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning, to make the right decisions and be curious, motivated and independent learners.
